Easter Centerpieces by S’more
Spring break is springing, and Easter is just around the corner. Now is the time to start your Easter decorations. This little Christmas elf is ready to help you build an awesome Easter centerpiece.
Do people still use dining room tables???
At the Claus home in the North Pole, we celebrate Easter with a big brunch or lunch or dinner at the long, fancy table in the “formal” dining room. It’s not really that formal. Mrs. C. uses the table to fold laundry and wrap popcorn balls and candy apples when she uses the room at all.
Even though the Mr. and Mrs. don’t normally eat at the dining room table, it’s the best place to serve holiday dinners because so many people can sit together there.
Now that I think about it, I’m not too sure everyone does this. Maybe you use a bunch of folding tables all over your house. Maybe you eat outside on picnic tables. Maybe you don’t use tables. There are so many ways to accommodate a big group for a holiday meal.
Other places for Easter centerpieces
So, whether or not you use a dining room table or host an Easter supper, there are other places where an Easter centerpiece might be perfect to set the mood for Easter season:
- Entryway table
- Kitchen island
- On top of a piano
- Fireplace mantle
- Guest bathroom countertop
- Coffee table
- Living room end table
- Buffet table
You get the idea. All you need is a flat surface that isn’t already occupied. I like to decorate the places in our home that I see often because it makes me smile.
Next, pick one item that you love the most for the holiday and design a whole centerpiece around it.
Here are our top ideas for an Easter centerpiece that’s sure to put a spring in your step.
Resurrection Scene

You can make a whole little scene to bring the hope and peace of Jesus’s resurrection into your home just by picking one of the items in the picture above to set out.
How to complete the look:
- Try standing the cross or the figure of Jesus praying in the center of a small spring wreath.
- The Last Supper figure makes a simple, elegant Easter centerpiece. You could use a white table runner and some fake greenery to complete the look.
- Create an entire resurrection scene using the Fontanini pieces. The tomb is battery operated and lights up inside, and the stone can be rolled to cover or uncover the tomb. Arrange small rocks and matching palm trees around the scene to complete the look.
- The figure of Jesus washing feet is the perfect size to set on a cake platter as a reminder to have a servant’s heart.
Here’s a fun idea, we saw on Pinterest to carry the theme into the meal. Cut donuts in half and stand on their cut side with a donut hole next to each one as a sweet reminder of the tomb.

Chocoholic Centerpiece

We created a display of “chocolate” Easter treats hanging from this pot rack, but you could, also, use them as a centerpiece.
- Mound an assortment of them in a milk glass or gold painted bowl.
- Create a pretend Easter basket full of these fake goodies to be your Easter centerpiece.
- Arrange our chocolate and gold leaf sprays down the center of the table and scatter the eggs along the top.
Don’t forget a giant, golden egg to put in the center of the display!

Peep-tastic Easter Centerpiece
Not everyone loves peeps, but I sure do!

They just look so happy… and sugary… and sweet!
Pile a bunch of plastic Easter basket “grass” down the center of the table. Then, stand these cute little babies all around in the grass. Next, add a sprinkling of plastic eggs or cascarones for a bright and cheery Easter centerpiece.
We even have the perfect placemats to compliment the look. We used them as our picnic “blanket” in our front window.

There’s even more to find and love in store to create your Easter decorations this year. I hope my Easter centerpieces help you “Celebrate Always” this holiday season. (I Thessalonians 5:16)
Merry Christmas,
S’more
