Hot Cocoa Krispie Treats!

Hello, to all my “Celebrate Always” friends! Did you know that we have a sister store in New Braunfels? Our friend Dean opened Santa’s Sleigh Christmas Shoppe in downtown New Braunfels in 2024. So, we’ve created a Hot Cocoa Rice Krispie Treat to highlight his custom hot cocoa mix.

Just like we carry custom mulling spices, he carries custom hot cocoa mix. Plus, we both carry each other’s lines. In fact, we carry a lot of things that complement each other’s lines and give us an excuse to advertise each other. That’s what friends do.

Unfortunately, hot cocoa isn’t something that can be put out for samples in a store all day long, unlike our Mulled Cider. So, being more of a baker than Dean, I’ve been researching recipes that use hot cocoa mix or hot chocolate mix to find something that allows him to give out samples.

Yay! I found the most delicious, chocolatey bars that are sure to be a hit in your hot cocoa bar station or in Santa’s Sleigh Christmas Shoppe.

Plus, we made some tweaks to allow me to use up the HUGE BOX of Jumbo Marshmallows that are left over from the Boerne Chocolate Walk (long story!).

Here’s the original recipe that is the inspiration for our recipe, if you would like to try that one: Hot Chocolate Rice Krispie Treats by Dinner in 32

Best part about this recipe is that even with our tweaks, it is a super easy recipe to make. Enjoy!
