12 Ornaments we are most excited for in 2024!
Hello, all my Christmas loving friends! The elves and I have been working super hard to check in all the ornaments for this year. Here’s a sneak peek into some of our favorites – 12 ornaments we are most excited for in 2024!
No. 1. Shopper Favorite: Mini Snow Globe Ornaments!
Just for fun, we decided to do a little game to find out which ornament shoppers were most excited for. Over 40 of our shoppers in August purchased our personalized mini snow globe ornaments!
These sweet little items come with over 200 options of names and sentiments. Plus, there are several that are blank, allowing the elves to personalize them for you for free. Our pen is in black, though. So, they won’t look exactly the same as the ones that come pre-personalized.
We’ve carried similar ornaments before, but these are new and improved with the current list of most popular names in the nation. They are plastic and do not contain water, which the elves truly appreciate because cleaning up wet glass is difficult.
No. 2. Best in Sports: The Pickle Ball Ornament
We always carry pickle ornaments because of the fun tradition to hide them on your tree, but with the rising popularity of the game of pickle ball, we had to add a new ornament this year.
No. 3. Fancy Favorite: Frosty Fawn
Well, Mrs. C. says that the Christopher Radko ornament that she is most excited for in 2024 is the one that hasn’t arrived yet. So, her second favorite just happens to be our bestselling Christopher Radko ornament, Frosty Fawn.
We think the deep red and bright platinum will look stunning on a silver tinsel tree.
No. 4. Funniest: One Plum Pudding Short
Every year, Mr. & Mrs. C. pick out a Snowpinion ornament from Department 56 for their daughter, and this one might just be plum perfect. We love how funny and expressive these ornaments are.
No. 5. Old World Gumdrop: Hocus Pocus Cauldron
When we think of the 12 ornaments we are most excited for in 2024, we include Halloween ornaments. Not that long ago, Old World Christmas company released a new line of ornaments called “gumdrops.” They are tiny, mini ornaments and oh-so-sweet!
This year, we have lots of items for those that are fans of Hocus Pocus the movie. We think the Sanderson Sisters would love this little ornament.
No. 6. Most Vintage: Krampus by Inge Glas
We have a repeat customer by the name of Anthony who loves his German heritage and comes in regularly to buy our German-made gifts and decorations. A few years ago, he asked for Krampus. We found one!
For those unfamiliar, Krampus is the opposite of Santa. While Santa brings toys to all the good girls and boys in Germany, Krampus brings switches to reprimand the misbehaving children. Kind of like other myths, parents would caution their children to be good or they might be stolen by Krampus.
No. 7. Most Joyful: Merry Little Mushroom Nativity
Combining two of our favorite things at Christmas, lucky mushrooms and the Holy Family. This is entirely new artwork, and we think these mushroom people have the sweetest faces.
No. 8. Mr. C.’s Favorite: Beaded Jellyfish
You would never know, but Mr. C. loves the sea, including all the sea creatures of the deep. When Mrs. C. showed him our newest addition to our beach corner, he saw this ornament and said, “Ooooooo…..”
No. 9. Celeste the Elf’s Favorite: Clara
Every year, we choose a new Clara ornament in honor of the Nutcracker Suite Ballet. This beautiful ballerina has a big pink bow and a real lace skirt. Her nutcracker prince is dressed in a burgundy-red uniform.
No. 10. Emmy the Elf’s Favorite: Dungeons & Dragons
Emmy thinks this beautiful blown glass ornament from Old World Christmas looks exactly like the red dragon pictured in the Dungeons & Dragons game. I think it’s so cool that he’s holding the dice!
No. 11. Mrs. C.’s Favorite: Linda Clare’s Hand Painted Jesus
Linda Clare is the sweetest person. She is 84 and lives in Garland, Texas and paints ornaments while watching football when she isn’t busy being a newly wedded pastor’s wife.
You may know her artwork from all the beautiful glass balls that she paints with Texas themes. Her most popular is the Boerne Gazebo ornament that we get every year.
Earlier this year, she showed Mrs. C. a new style of ornament that she was working on. They are tiny wood discs that she has hand painted with cardinals and chapels. Mrs. C. thought they were perfect for entire themed tree and requested one with the baby Jesus in a manger.
No. 12. S’more the Elf’s Favorite: Buddy the Elf
Last, but certainly not least, is my favorite! Buddy the Elf is my role model. So, when I got to pick one of the 12 ornaments we are most excited for in 2024, I chose this one by Jim Shore. It captures all the joy and energy that an elf needs to celebrate Christmas every day.
Which one is your favorite? Visit us and be inspired to “Celebrate Always”(I Thessalonians 5:16)!
Merry Christmas,
S’more
